Polycotton / Cotton-Rich Blends: Polycotton combines natural cotton with durable polyester fibres—most commonly a 50/50 blend. This mix offers excellent crease resistance, faster drying times and robust performance under frequent washing. 

Bamboo & Other Eco-FabricsL Bamboo viscose and bamboo-cotton blends bring exceptional softness and natural moisture-wicking properties. They’re also more sustainable, as bamboo grows quickly and needs fewer resources.

Thread Count, GSM & Qualities

• Mid range (180TC-200TC) — great balance of softness, durability and sheen.

  Care Instructions & Longevity

To keep your 4ft bedding in good condition over many washes:

• Wash sheets and duvet covers at 40-60°C depending on fabric.
• Avoid bleach unless specifically FR-rated; bleach damages fibres in cotton and polycotton.
• Tumble dry on low heat or line dry; high heat can shrink cotton fibres.
• Iron sateen/cotton percale if needed; brushed/flannel fabrics benefit from gentle wash and avoiding high heat to maintain softness.
• Wash protectors separately if waterproof; don’t use fabric softener on waterproof layers as it can reduce breathability.

Mid to high thread counts work well. A 180-200TC gives softness with durability. For more luxurious feel, 300TC cotton sateen or long-staple cotton works best.

• Do I need extra deep fitted sheets for a 4ft bed?

• What materials are best for frequent washing?
